Electronics Hardware Design Engineer
We are seeking an Electronics Hardware Design Engineer to join our client, focusing on the development of Electronic Control Unit (ECU) products. This role is pivotal in designing robust electronic solutions that meet both customer expectations and legislative requirements, within the context of high-volume manufacturing and stringent quality standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in the commitment to innovation and excellence in the automotive industry.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and develop analogue, digital, and power circuits to meet specific customer and regulatory needs.
- Lead project tasks, ensuring objectives related to cost, quality, and timing are achieved.
- Proactively communicate risks and issues, providing timely updates to both management and core team members.
- Generate technical documentation, reports, and presentations for both internal stakeholders and customers, ensuring clarity in decision-making processes.
- Adhere to company engineering standards, employing BOD, BOP, BOT methodologies for project execution.
- Interface effectively with customers, the core engineering team, and support functions across manufacturing and validation phases.
Key Skills and Attributes:
- Proficiency in Functional Safety standards (ISO26262), FMEDA, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Skilled in using CAD programs, simulation tools, and MS Office suite.
- Excellent communication skills in English; German and/or French proficiency is advantageous.
- Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and capability to work under pressure.
Experience & Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience in power electronics or switch mode power supplies, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Experience in Powertrain Electronics and a solid understanding of magnetics is desirable.
