ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Head of Member Development, the main purpose of this role is to grow the membership of BESA through highly proactive business development engagement with potential contractor members to provide sales qualified leads and appointments for the Regional Managers.
BESA believe in developing their people and there are opportunities for career progression as well as learning and development.
This role is a home-based role but there will be requirements for you to attend training, prospect and client meetings and events in the UK. The role will be approximately 80% home-based.
Key Duties
- Identifying opportunities to acquire new members and generate qualified leads maintaining a healthy sales pipeline
- Mining targeted lead data and entering it into our CRM system
- Following the prospecting and lead process
- Securing sales qualified appointments for our Regional Managers
- Conducting efficient and detailed hand overs of sales qualified opportunities to our Regional Managers
- Providing regular, insightful reports on activity and pipelines
- Working closely with the Head of Member Development and the Marketing team to shape appropriate lead magnets, outreach sequences and other prospecting collateral
- Progressing inbound leads from various streams generated by BESA initiatives with a sense of urgency
- Seasonally working with our Events team to proactively sell sponsorship opportunities to our members for BESA events
- Contributing to the accuracy of the current member database through consistent updating of the CRM system

Skills, Knowledge & Experience - Essential
- Proven experience and success in B2B lead generation
- Experience and proven track record in appointment setting
- Experience of delivering key objectives and business development targets
- Exceptional telephone manner
- Ability to gain rapport rapidly
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
Skills, Knowledge & Experience – Desirable
- Ability to write compelling and engaging prospecting and follow up emails
- Problem solving
- Sound commercial understanding
- Knowledge of building engineering services, the construction industry and contracting sector
- IT competence including Microsoft Office and Sales Navigator
