Job description
United Kars Ltd is an automotive solutions provider in the UK, specializing in the hiring/renting, selling, and purchasing of motor vehicles. As the company continues to grow, it seeks a dynamic and experienced Fleet Manager to join its team and contribute to our mission of offering top-notch automotive solutions.
Main duties include:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the vehicle fleet, including maintenance, servicing, and repairs, to ensure optimal vehicle availability and reliability.
- Develop and implement fleet policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal regulations and company standards.
- Manage fleet allocation and scheduling to meet the demands of our clients and maximize utilization.
- Monitor and analyze fleet costs, recommending strategies to optimize fuel usage, reduce expenses, and improve efficiency.
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to coordinate maintenance, purchase of new vehicles, and disposal of old ones.
- Implement and oversee a comprehensive vehicle tracking and management system to monitor vehicle performance and driver behaviour.
- Prepare and manage the fleet budget, forecasting expenses, and planning for future fleet expansions.
Skills and Education:
- Proven experience in fleet management, preferably within the automotive or transportation industry.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, logistics, and fleet management software.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to analyze data and prepare budget reports.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
