Job description

ACS International Schools is currently seeking a Development Officer, to join the Development and Alumni Relations team. This is a key fundraising role, responsible for facilitating the cultivation and stewardship of relationships with prospects and donors across all three ACS campuses for various fundraising campaigns.

This role will involve spearheading the development of a new stewardship programme and supporting the implementation of a new mid-value fundraising programme. Key responsibilities:

Donor engagement and Stewardship (70%)

• Cultivating and stewarding relationships with prospective and existing and donors (under £10,000 capacity) across the three ACS campuses.

• Assisting in the development of a comprehensive stewardship programme aimed at enhancing donor engagement and retention.

• Supporting implementation of a mid-value fundraising programme to effectively solicit donations from targeted donors (under £10,000).

• Developing and delivering donor cultivation and fundraising events for parents and alumni.

• Collaborating with the development team and contributing to the overall strategy and execution of fundraising campaigns to reach annual income targets.

• Supporting identification and conversion of prospective donors to donations.

• Working with the Senior Development Manager and the Marketing department team to develop fundraising communications and appeals.

• Maintaining accurate donor and gift records on Raisers Edge (database) and ensuring timely communication and follow up.

• Supporting the development of a new Grade 12 parent fundraising communication and event programme.

• Preparing materials and presentations for donor meetings and events.

• Providing support to other development initiatives and projects as needed.

Alumni Relations

• Responding promptly to alumni enquiries and providing assistance or information as needed.

• Utilising Raisers Edge to log and track alumni communications and change of personal details ensuring accurate and up to date records.

• Co-ordinating and scheduling tours for visiting alumni and their families across all three campuses.

• Preparing materials and resources for alumni tours.

• Assisting the Marketing team in the development of alumni communication material, such as newsletters, invitations, and social media posts.

• Staying informed about alumni achievements, milestones, and news to share within the ACS community.

• Implementing the annual enrolment for Grade 12 students into the alumni programme.

• Planning and executing annual UK alumni reunions.

Essential requirements:

• Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively.

• Be self-disciplined and motivated.

• The ability to act as a suitable role model with a positive and forward-thinking attitude to the organisaiton and its strategic aims.

• Awareness of, and commitment to the Mission and Values of ACS International Schools.

Desirable requirements:

• A strong desire to learn fundraising techniques and strategies with a commitment to professional development in this area.

• A passion for fostering connections and building a sense of community among donors, alumni and supporters.

• Travelling is essential, owning a car with a valid UK driving licence is desirable.

Working Pattern:9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday. Travel between all three UK campuses is essential: this role will be based between Cobham, Egham and Hillingdon with hybrid working available.
