HR Manager - FTC 6 months - Sherwood Hospital Trust
£35000 per annum/ 40 hours per week We're recruiting an experienced HR Manager who is passionate about exceptional food and world-class customer service for Healthcare on a full time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.
As an HR Manager your purpose is to provide a HR support service for all service managers for the different staff groups whom follow different Terms and Conditions. Be the key link with Trust HR. There is also a requirement to work closely with the relevant Compass Group HRBP to oversee Compass initiatives and participate in Compass activity when required.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- To oversee all Employee Relations cases of all staff groups including attending meeting as required including being a note taker if required
- Provide HR advice to the Medirest onsite team, be the first point of contact for all HR issues
- Work closely with the onsite recruitment team
- Manage a small HR & Training Team ensuring all HR activity is being completed
- Provide the Client/Trust HR activity report on a monthly basis via monitoring report
- Ensure the attendance policy is being adhered too for all staff groups including implementation of stages/levels and pass any files over for potential dismissal to Trust HR
- Attend monthly meetings with Health, Work and Wellbeing Department to help reduce sickness
- Arrange monthly meetings with service managers to determine HR activity
- Manage the annual appraisal review and mid-term review process
- Manage the Succession planning and talent management process in conjunction with the HR Business Partner
- Process pay rises in conjunction with the HR Business Partner
- Communicate with Trade Unions and Trust on a regular formal basis, take minutes and distribute accordingly
- Arrange quarterly engagement workshops in conjunction with Contract Director for all staff groups and implement action plan accordingly
- Roll out/conduct HR Skills Training
Our ideal HR Manager will:
Essential: Knowledge and Skills - At least 3 years HR experience
- Experience of managing a team
- Knowledge of the service industry, working directly with staff
- Must be a team leader, able to motivate and communicate with the team
Education and Qualifications - Must have gained GCSE/GCE/CSE in English and Maths
- Must have CIPD Level 5 qualification
- PC Literate
Experience - Dealing with employees
- Interviewing
- Delivering and facilitating training
- Dealing with clients
Personality - Enthusiastic, initiative, assertive, energetic, organised, open-minded and a good communicator
- Self-motivated
Desirable: Knowledge and Skills - Previous HR experience in a fast paced environment
- Experience of working in a PFI setting
- Knowledge of Agenda for Change
- Managing a two-tier workforce
- Experience in a healthcare environment.
