Veterinary Practice Manager - Ashford, Surrey
We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal Hospital for a full time Practice Manager to join them and lead their team.
The role
- Full time position working - Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm
- The practice manager will be responsible for the non-clinical day to day running of the practice.
- The PM will manage and lead a team of Veterinary Surgeons and Nurses.
- The role will involve a variety of administrative duties and client duties.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- The PM will be involved with the operational and finance performance of the Veterinary Hospital.
- The PM will ensure that clinical standards are maintained at all time.
- The PM will be responsible for reviewing the rotas and ensuring that there is sufficient staff cover at all times to meet the demands of the business.
- The PM will be responsible for the smooth day to day running of the non-clinical side of the practice. They will ensure that all equipment is maintained and will be responsible for stock control.
- The PM will ensure that all Health and Safety protocols are adhered to.
- The PM will perform staff inductions
- The PM will be involved with recruitment within the practice and liaise with the wider regional team.
- The role will involve all aspects of line management so the PM will evaluate team performance, hold interviews, reviews, 1:1 catch ups and encourage ongoing development of each team member.
- The PM will implement an review ongoing changes that maybe required in order to improve services.
- The PM will be responsible for overseeing the debt management process and will be the direct line manager for the accounts team.

Requirements
- The practice are looking for a PM who demonstrates leadership skills and is committed to delivering a high standard of care to all clients.
- Whilst Veterinary Nursing experience or Veterinary background experience would be an advantage it is not essential however the candidate must have experience within either a management or leadership role.
- The candidate will remain calm under pressure and be able to prioritise tasks easily.
- The candidate will be able to build working relationships with both clients and the team with ease.
- They will be committed to developing team members and will always have a professional and approachable manner.
- They will be confident in their decision making skills.
Package:
- Salary: Package up to £40,000 per annum commensurate to experience
