Job description
This family got in touch with Arthur's House as they are looking for a nanny to join them to care for their first child who will be around 1 year on start. The family are looking for a nanny who will join them to stay with them for many years to come.
The role:
- Caring for the son both in the home and out of the home (play schedule, attending classes out of the home)
- Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for the child
- Keep on top of admin related to the child e.g. nappy supplies, food shopping, name tagging clothes, etc
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the as needed and help assist with weaning, potty training as your charge grows up
- Manage the children's daily routine, including nap time, playtime, and outings and use your initiative to guide the family on this as needs change
- Help with the child’s laundry and keep bedrooms and play areas clean and tidy
- Help keep an eye on developmental milestones the child’s general wellbeing and health - raising any concerns if needed
- Communicate with parent(s) clearly about any ideas, playdates, activity planning etc
- Be emotionally intelligent and keen to create a trusting relationship with the parents and the son.
Applicants must have the right To Work in the UK, an up to date criminal record check, Paediatric First Aid certification and hold excellent references from previous employers. It would be great if the nanny has some OFSTED recognition and Childcare qualifications.
