Your new company
Hays are working exclusively on behalf of a leading company in the Derry area to recruit a HR Administrator to join their team. This is a permanent full-time position. Working hours are 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 3.30pm on Friday. This is an office-based position. It is a fantastic opportunity for a HR Administrator or someone who comes from a strong administration background and has a keen interest in HR. Salary will depend on experience.

Your new role
As HR Administrator, you will be joining a well-established and highly experienced HR team and report directly to the HR Business Partner. You will be the first point of contact for all general HR enquiries, managing the central HR inbox, and responding as appropriate or escalating queries to the HR Business Partner. As HR Administrator, you will maintain confidentiality on all Human Resource issues whilst providing full administrative support to the HR team. This will include creating and maintaining personnel files, ensuring all information is filed correctly and in accordance with applicable data privacy and standards, and general administration duties including drafting letters, filing, and scanning documentation.

In your position as HR Administrator, you will be responsible for payroll administration, providing support for recruitment campaigns across the UK from job creation to pre-employment checks and the onboarding / offboarding of staff. You will assist with preparation of HR files and policies for audits, absence management, the collation of metrics and data as required in relation to business decision-making, benefits administration and general duties as required to support the HR team.

What you\'ll need to succeed
ESSENTIAL
• Education Qualification Level 5 (i.e. HND or Foundation Degree) or above in Business Studies or related discipline OR at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Minimum one year’s experience working in administration within a busy office environment.
• Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail and the ability to input and record data accurately and efficiently.
• Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and utilise technology to drive process efficiencies.
• Ability to act on own initiative, as well as part of a team (collaboration).
• Professional, proactive approach with strong integrity and compliance.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Confident IT user with advanced knowledge of all Microsoft packages, including ability to produce charts / Pivot tables / V-look ups in Excel.
