A Vacancy at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking for senior experienced doctors to join our Senior Clinical Fellow in Diabetes and Endocrine at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn NHS Foundation Trust. The appointee will be offered a 12 month fixed term post. The training opportunities will mirror those given to the Internal Medicine Trainees/Specialist Trainees with support from departmental teaching, ePortfolio, training budget, Quality Improvement Projects (QIP), participation in Outpatient elective activity and allocation of a clinical/educational supervisor to support career development. Advanced Life Support (ALS) can also be organised at the trust but is desirable to have before starting. The appointee will contribute to the medical on-call rota, including leading cardiac arrests and supervising junior doctors. With over 4,000 staff (known as TeamQEH), the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Kings Lynn is one of the biggest employers in West Norfolk, supporting the health and wellbeing of the local community. QEH has 518 beds, 18 wards, a budget of circa £220m and provides a comprehensive range of specialist, acute, obstetrics and community-based services to those who live in the three counties of Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire. In February 2022, the significant progress that has been made at QEH in just three years since 2019 was recognised by the Care Quality Commission who rated the Trust as ‘Good’ in all of the core services they inspected, and recommended the Trust moves out of the recovery support system (formerly special measures). We have an absolute determination to continuously improve care and services for our patients and their families TeamQEH is proud to be an inclusive employer, with many active staff networks. We have also been recognised as an exemplar employer by BAPIO (British Association of Physicians of Indian Origin) and offer outstanding health and wellbeing initiatives to support our staff and to implement our learning from the pandemic.
