Head of QHSE
Derby
£50,000 - £60,000 DOE
Fabric Recruitment are excited to be supporting our client on a very pivotal role within the business, due to the nature of our client's industry this role is crucial to the management of QHSE activities to remain in line with industry standards and the businesses requirements.
Description of the role:
* To support the business with QHSE activities in accordance with customer requirements and company procedures
* Responsible for Company's QHSE processes and procedures to ensure the Company maintains its accreditations (ISO9001-2015, ISO14001-2015, RISQS) and customer approvals.
* Control the day-to-day operations including auditing, meetings, training and updating documents and records for all aspects of the systems.
* Evaluate and analyse quality issues in production and introduce corrective and preventive actions.
* Handle customer complaints including raising and coordination of NCR's including corrective and preventative actions.
* Conduct internal audits and QHSE inspections to evaluate the effectiveness of systems and procedures and be able to identify and assist with implementing improvements.
* Assist with the identification, generation and review of Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work
* Assist with supplier approval and management through audit and monitoring.
* Liaise with Customers and Supply Chain, regarding QHSE matters, ensuring their expectations are met.
* Assist with the preparation for any external audits (Customer / Regulatory)
* Liaise with management and staff to ensure continued QHSE integration into core operations.
* Monitor and ensure that all QHSE legislation is complied with and ensure a safe working environment.
* Conduct Continuous Improvement processes to improve processes and procedures and prepare and update HSE statistical tracking and trending data.
* Actively influence and motivate staff to ensure commitment to the overall QHSE system.
* Monitor and advise on all QHSE matters, issues and concerns.
* Responsible for management of and liaison with QHSE auditors to acquire/maintain Company's accreditations.
* Manage and monitor emergency procedures, signage, PPE, COSHH control etc.
* Maintain awareness of evolving industry QHSE regulations and best practice and how they could be applied to the Company's operations.
About you:
* Minimum 3 years of experience within QHSE
* Ideally have a diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
* Quality lead auditor
* Professional membership with IOSH, CQI and IEMA
* Knowledge of and ability to use management concepts and principles including goals setting, planning and execution.
* Ability to adhere to Company policies, procedures, guidelines and work requirements.
* Knowledge of HSE requirements & principles and the ability to recommend safe work practices.
* A team player, with strong collaborative and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with people tactfully and effectively.
* Have good IT skills, including MS Office
* Hold a UK Driving License
