An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to be an integral part of our newly established West Sussex Division. As the Associate Divisional Director of Pharmacy you will be a valuable member of the divisional leadership team supporting the Trust, it's services and the pharmacy team in developing and delivering quality care for the people we serve. The Trust has recently moved to a place-based divisional structure - the geographical divisions being: Brighton & Hove, East Sussex, West Sussex as well as a pan-Sussex Specialist division.
This post supports the West Sussex Division for the following functions:
- Medicines safety
- Medicines effectiveness
- Formulary adherence
- Medicines guideline development
- Medicines spend evaluation and efficiencies
- Delivery of the medicines optimisation strategy
Main duties of the job This post will work in partnership with the Managing Director and the Clinical Director, and with the other Professional Leads as well as the rest of the Division's Senior Leadership Team to provide demonstrable assurance that the quality of clinical services including patient safety, experience and effectiveness meet the required standards and can be well evidenced and communicated. This will be achieved by effective leadership of the Division's pharmacy team.
