This is an exciting opportunity to broaden your ICT experience within the ICT team at Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service (HIWFRS) based in Eastleigh.
We are looking for a dynamic and proactive professional, with strong interpersonal skills, to join our busy team. Your focus will be to implement and manage strategic Service-wide ICT Projects, Work-packages, and ICT Resources.
You will be an adaptable and organised individual, who will directly engage with our stakeholders and ensure strong management of ICT project delivery. At an exciting time within HIWFRS we have several critical ICT and Digital Application projects to deliver in line with our Service Priorities and Safety Plan. Project Management experience is essential, preferably in an ICT environment ideally with a professional Project Management certification such as Agile / Prince 2. Experience of producing, evaluating, and delivering Public Sector ICT tenders an advantage.
The ICT Project and Resource Manager will primarily be delivering new technology and PowerApps applications into the live service. As well as working with the ICT team, you will also be required to support the Service's operational officers in their mission to make Hampshire and the Isle of Wight safer.
You need to be a team player and be able to demonstrate that you can work on your own initiative, using your skills and experience to work with a wide range of people and suppliers where your skills in communication and negotiation will be as important as your Project Management and ICT skills.
You will be able to apply your Project Delivery knowledge with innovative ideas to implement the use of technology in operational situations where your ideas and solutions will be directly assisting HIWFRS in making Hampshire and Isle of Wight safer.
