Job description

Join an ambitious biotech company as a Part-Time Senior Finance Assistant. Their mission is to identify exciting biotech opportunities and assets at various stages of development that can be accelerated towards the clinic. They have an exceptional team, with a wealth of experience and two spin-out companies have already been established with plans for many more. This new role is working 20 hours per week. The job offers remote working, with occasional travel in the UK (primarily Edinburgh and Manchester) for in-person meetings. For this reason a strong preference will be given to candidates around the Edinburgh, Glasgow and Manchester area.

THE JOB:

Reporting to the CFO and group FD, you will be involved in a range of finance activities, including:

• Purchase and sales ledgers
• Nominal ledger
• Monthly reconciliations
• Monthly reporting
• VAT returns
• Intercompany transactions

KEY SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years of accounts/bookkeeping experience
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good IT skills, ideally in Xero
• Ability to work autonomously
• Adaptable and skilled at multitasking.
