Job Description

To support all areas of the business in Sales Telemarketing and general Administration duties, including but not restricted to:Sales, Service and Rental functions.

- To support the Sales Managers in all administration tasks including:

- Ensuring that all requested sales quotations are prepared to Crown Lift Trucks Ltd standards and completed in the required time frame.

- Filing and maintenance of customer records and sales material.

- To support the business in achieving an objective of meeting 55% market awareness by:

- Maintaining existing database records.

- Expanding the customer base and creating new business with lead generation.

- Reviewing and reporting on results.

- Undertaking UK marketing projects as required by the business and completing within the allocated task time.

- To manage the local rental administration, including ensuring all paperwork is correct and in place by:

- Arranging transport to meet requested delivery and collection requirements.

- Informing and updating the relative parties including the customer, Sales managers, Workshop manager and Rental manager.

- Working with Engineers to ensure any off hire damage reporting is complete and estimates raised to the customer within 24hrs.

- General administration duties as require by the General manager, which could include:

- Filing

- Research

- Report generation

- General UK reception phone cover as required.

- To create service estimates as required from the Engineers reports and to ensure these are sent to the customer.Also to maintain the records and follow up weekly.

Person Specification

Essential Skills:

- Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office package.

- Office systems and procedures.

- Ability to follow set procedures is fundamental.

- Working as part of a team and on own initiative.

- Responding to queries and simple problem solving.

- Ability to demonstrate a methodical, organised and flexible approach to work.

- Effective listening, verbal and written communication skills.

- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.

- Practical experience of working in a busy office environment.

- Intellectually robust with a good standard of education with at least 5 GCSE’s or equivalent

- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion at all times.

- A mature and professional manner.

- Commitment to providing a high quality of service.

- Professional and friendly manner.

- Open minded, down to earth, proactive and bright.

- Ability to learn quickly about the business and a willingness to learn.

Desirable Skills:

- RSA Stage 2 Word Processing or NVQ 2 in Business Administration (or equivalent).

- RSA Stage 3 Word Processing or NVQ 3 in Business Administration (or equivalent).

Vacancy Details

Hours of Work:

Monday to Thursday – 09:00am to 17:30pm with 1 hour lunch break.

Friday – 09:00am to 17:00pm with 1 hour lunch break.
