Job Title: Maths Teacher

Are you passionate about helping students unlock the mysteries of mathematics and develop strong problem-solving skills? If so, we are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teachers to join our secondary schools in Havering, starting immediately.

As a Maths Teacher , you will have the opportunity to inspire curiosity, instill confidence, and foster a love for mathematics in our students.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive maths lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of secondary school students.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to support students in understanding mathematical concepts, solving problems, and applying mathematical reasoning.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, and collaborate with their peers.
  • Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their learning and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects, numeracy initiatives, and extracurricular activities that promote a positive attitude towards mathematics.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in mathematics or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level, with a strong track record of student achievement and engagement.
  • Excellent subject knowledge across key mathematical concepts, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
  • Enthusiasm for collaborating with colleagues and contributing to the wider school community through extracurricular involvement and professional development activities.
