Job description
Driver Hire is looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled Engineer or Depot Technician for a sales & hire company based in West Byfleet. They supply heating, cooling and power products for temporary heavy-duty use. Maybe to a construction project, or even a supermarket that has had an air conditioning breakdown.

You will be happy to work mostly on your own, and be willing to take on extra responsibility as the company and role develops further.
The ideal candidate will already have experience in servicing equipment with mechanical and electrical testing.
Some of the Main Responsibilities will include:
- Service, maintenance, repair and PAT testing of hire equipment
- Organise deliveries and collections using company vehicles, pallet networks and couriers
- Load and unload vehicles
- Learning to drive the fork lift truck
- Use the PC and handheld device to manage collections and deliveries (so spreadsheet or database experience would be useful)
- Stock control
- Occasional deliveries to site and field service support, driving the long wheel base van
- Keep the warehousing area clean and tidy
**** Benefits, Hours and Pay of the Depot Technician ****
- £29,000 – £32,000 (depending on experience)
- Monday to Friday
- Typically 7am to 4pm
- 30 min lunch break
- Private health care
- 28 days paid holiday
**** Requirements of the Depot Technician ****
- Plant or tool hire experience would be useful
- Good understanding of a warehouse or stores environment
- Experience in servicing equipment with mechanical and electrical testing is essential
- Flexible approach to hours (for example the winter is busier than the summer)
- UK driving licence
- FLT licence would be useful
- Verifiable references
