Job description
The Recruitment Co are delighted to be recruiting for a Permanent Production Manager for our Horticultural client based in Laurencekirk.
Salary: £40,000 Per Annum
Start date: ASAP
Duties:
- Managing and implement the day to day running of all the packing lines
- Managing the production runs & flows to ensure smooth operation of the lines.
- Meeting production plans by managing line packers productivity
- Making sure that targets are hit for the operators and that skills are being utilised where appropriately
- Training of Line leaders and operators is essential for the smooth running of the shifts
- Planning the production runs for the day and communicating these with the line leaders
- Dealing with daily orders and setting up operational procedures, including stock control of relevant materials.
- Providing accurate yield information on packout and grade out
- Providing production information to inform KPI reporting.
- Measuring waste
- Making sure all the packing lines and machines are working at their optimum performance.
- Planning maintenance and liaising with manufacturers or engineers to ensure the smooth running of all the equipment.
- Work closely with the line leaders to build a strong Packhouse team.
What we are looking for:
- At least 3 years of experience in a management position, preferably in the Horticultural environment
- A positive team player
- Excellent communication skills
- Thorough and pays high attention to detail
