About The Role

Are you an experienced Materials Manager looking for a new challenge? Are you a customer orientated person? If so, this is the role for you.

As a Materials Manager for LiveWest, you will be responsible for the optimal performance of LiveWest’s materials supply chains. You will provide a comprehensive professional materials management, analysis, procurement and planning service to a wide variety of internal stakeholders.

Providing the right materials availability solutions, including van stock, consignment stock and other solutions for our in-house maintenance teams, you will excel in demand planning, spend, and cost control to ensure we have the right materials available at the right price at the point of use.

You will be knowledgeable in building and repairs materials. Customer orientated, you will confidently performance manage LiveWest merchant supply agreements and continuously improve stock availability, quality, and price.

Through building and managing effective supply chains, reducing organisational risk, and developing the Supply Chain Function, you will clearly demonstrate exceptional value for money and strategic alignment. 

This role is being offered on a full time, permanent basis and is based in our Exeter office. A hybrid working style is an option.

About The Candidate

To be considered for the role of Materials Manager, you will be / have:

• Skilled in analysing data and using it to target and improve services and inform decision making.

• Demonstrable knowledge of materials supplier procurement.
• Proficient level of IT literacy including MS Office Suite. 
• Excellent understanding of Health and Safety legislation and safe working practice.
• Experienced in contract management and delivery of procured contracts/services.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Proficient level of literacy and numeracy.
• Health and Safety qualification or experience (SMSTS, IOSH, or NEBOSH Construction Certificate).
• Level 4 or 5 qualification in a procurement related field. (CIH / HNC / HND qualification or equivalent). (D)
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
