We are delighted to be recruiting an Estimating Manager to join a well-established and successful construction company who specialise in the design, fabrication, and installation of steelwork for both new build and refurb construction projects across various sectors throughout the UK.
Estimating Manager duties:
•Lead the Estimating department and manage day to day activities.
•Provide guidance and advice to junior members of the estimating team as needed.
•Working in conjunction with company Directors, prioritise enquiries and distribute work amongst the Estimating team.
•Ensure that all enquiries are responded to, and estimates are provided.
•Liaising with customers to fully understand the project where needed.
•Doing hands on estimates where needed/possible.
•Checking of Estimates/quotes by the Estimating team.
•Provide handover documents internally when projects are won.
•Management of the Estimating team: performance reviews and regular one on ones to ensure the team is happy, engaged and performing.
Estimating Manager Requirements:
•Previous experience working as an Estimator within the steelwork industry (structural and/or architectural).
•Experience working directly for a fabrication company is advantageous.
•Good communication and organisational skills.
•Prior experience leading or managing a team would be advantageous but we’re very happy to hear from experienced Estimators looking to step up and take on more responsibilities.
