Are you an organized and detail-oriented professional seeking a dynamic role in an esteemed engineering manufacturer? We are looking for a diligent Commercial Administrator to join our thriving team based in Portsmouth, supporting the bidding process, request for quotations and other duties within the team.
Key Responsibilities for the Commercial Administrator will be:
- Expressions of Interest & Pre-qualification: Engage in the issuance of Expressions of Interest and adeptly prepare Pre-qualification Questionnaires, showcasing our capabilities and expertise.
- Sales Contract & Tender Management: Take charge of raising Sales Contracts and Tenders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.
- Order Processing & Compliance: Efficiently process orders, meticulously matching them to quotations while reviewing and ensuring adherence to customer terms, DEFCONS, and export regulations. Handling export licensing processes, you'll guarantee compliance with the UK Export Control Act 2002 and liaise with Project/Programme Managers to fulfil order obligations.
- Quality Assurance Liaison: Collaborate closely with the Quality Department, ensuring seamless adherence to company accreditations, maintaining our commitment to excellence.
- Quotation & Order Management: Manage the full cycle of quotation processing, monitoring document authorizations, and liaising effectively with Estimating and Project Managers to meet customer requirements.
**Security Clearance Requirement: ** Ability to attain and maintain necessary security clearance is essential for this role.
Required Skills for the Commercial Administrator:
- Proven experience in commercial administration, preferably within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
- Familiarity with export regulations, particularly the UK Export Control Act 2002.
- Ability to navigate and comply with customer terms, DEFCONS, and diverse export requirements.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate across departments and ensure smooth operations.

Hours are 37 per week Mon to Thurs 7.30 am to 4.00pm and Friday is 7.30 am to 12.30pm
