Bid Manager – Do you have experience in building design or a construction environment? Do you have experience in the bidding process, bid writing and the creativity to prepare the supporting marketing materials? If yes, this could be the next opportunity for you!

Due to continued growth, a long-established business who design mechanical and electrical engineering systems for buildings are currently seeking a Bid Manager to join them in Ipswich, Suffolk.

• Competitive Salary: On offer is a salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experience.
• Holiday - 31 days per annum (pro rata), which is made up as follows: 23 days (3 days of which are to be taken at Christmas) plus Bank Holidays.

• Parking - Daily car parking will either be provided, or costs will be reimbursed for parking offsite.
• Pension : Auto enrolled pension scheme. Contributions 4% employee and 4% Employer.

About the role:

This Bid Manager role is an exciting opportunity to support our client to ensure market leading submissions and successfully secure projects. Working for the Directors, you will be managing new enquiries, collating the information to prepare Brief and Fee Proposals, writing bid submissions, and responding to Pre-Qualification Questionnaire/ Tender Submissions. You will also prepare all the marketing material, strategies, and social media content.

Other duties include:

• Updating Practice Datasheets with business information.
• Creating Project Datasheets with project details.
• Publishing press releases and social media updates.
• Managing the Practice's website.

This is a great opportunity for you to enhance and expand their business support systems, ensuring smooth operations within the Administration Department and putting their offering above that of their competitors.

About you:

Ideally, you will have experience of working in a building design, construction, or other technical environment, with proven skills in researching, writing, and editing proposal contents and supporting marketing materials. You will be confident in asking the right questions and preparing documentation quickly and efficiently to a high standard. With excellent communication skills to effectively engage with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally. Proficiency in office products and a solid understanding of procurement processes and portal management are also essential requirements for this role.
