Job description
This is a hybrid role with 2 – 3 days home / office based per week. This national mental health charity has won awards for being a great employer (investors in people). They have been awarded a brand-new contract to support people in Bedfordshire with a mental health support need into employment.
Your team help individuals who feel they are ready to return to work (so its not mandated) and they are referred across from the NHS services who are your key partner. The team provide one to one advice and guidance sessions to support people in areas such as job searching, CV writing and interview preparation, factoring in their mental health support needs.
You will lead a team of 9 Employment Advisors. Typically, you will spend one day in Bedford, and one day in Leighton Buzzard. With 2 – 3 days based at home (there might be one day needed here and there for outreach with partner organisations). You will be responsible for ensuring the service has a positive impact, overseeing team performance and creating reports for senior leaders and partners.
You must have previously managed or supervised staff and worked on a mental health service or similar field (criminal justice / homelessness / drug and alcohol). People with a career’s advice, employability, or recruitment background (and supervisory experience) would especially work well in this role.
