Job description
A renowned specialist in Fire Safety Engineering and Forensic Investigation is actively seeking a committed Fire Safety Engineer to bolster their Huddersfield-based team. With a salary offering between £45,000 and £60,000, dependent on the candidate's experience, this role is ideal for someone driven to excel in a varied and prestigious project portfolio.
The Fire Safety Engineer's Role:
- Executing superior fire safety services.
- Crafting fire safety engineering assessments and strategic reports.
- Participating in the development of building safety cases in alignment with the Building Safety Act.
- Performing site familiarisation, compliance, and assessment visits.
- Offering specialised advice on fire safety and engineering issues.
- Coordinating with necessary authorities and representing clients in design team meetings.
The Fire Safety Engineer:
- Holds a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering (Fire, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, etc.).
- Possesses a minimum Level 4 Diploma in Fire Science and Fire Safety or Fire Engineering Design (or equivalent) if lacking a degree in Fire Engineering.
- Is on the path to EngTech registration with the Engineering Council via IFE (or equivalent) or is an Engineering Technician with Engineers Ireland (or equivalent).
- Aims to achieve Chartered Engineer status, with full support provided by the organisation.
