School Site Manager

Knowle Primary School have an exciting opportunity for an experience maintenance professional to join the school as Site Manager. The successful Site Manager will have previous experience in a similar role, be highly motivated, organised, with a proven ability to work effectively under pressure, dealing with multiple tasks to meet time deadlines. You will have the ability to work as part of a team, building positive relationships with staff and key stakeholders both within the Trust and with external providers.

This is a temporary position to cover the substantive post holder during a period of absence until 31st December 2024. There may be opportunities across the Trust upon completion of the contract at Knowle Primary School.

Full training will be provided.

Candidate should:

• Work collaboratively with all LAT employees.
• Have experience in instructing and supervising maintenance and cleaning staff.
• Take responsibility for the security and safety of the school buildings and site.
• Undertake statutory checks including daily/weekly/monthly recording where required.
• Be a key holder and attend emergency callouts for the school.
• Be able to undertake general repairs and maintenance and generally upkeep the buildings, and site maintained to a high standard.
• Have a proven ability in planning and prioritising repairs including liaison with Estates Manager.
• Be pro-active in identifying maintenance issues/defects and act to minimise cost.
• Work in a flexible manner to meet the needs of pupils and the school.
• Promptly record and report any defects beyond skill level so that external contractors can be contacted to carry out repairs.
• Facilitate maintenance work by specialist contractors and supervise to ensure H&S compliance.
