Hays are delighted to be working exclusively with a Tier 1 contractor appointed on a major water framework in the Midlands region. This multi-accredited organisation has a strong pipeline of work in the water sector, and they have excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Project Manager to oversee several sites in the East Midlands region.
Your new role As Project Manager, you will be based out of their Derby office and be responsible for, but not limited to, monitoring and reviewing financial and delivery performance, creating and maintaining programmes, approving subcontractor invoices as well as liaising with the delivery team to ensure successful project delivery. This role involves a mixture of office- and site-based working (with the option for hybrid working).
What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful, you will have a good understanding of operational activities within the water sector and be able to work to budgets. In addition, you will have previous experience in a similar role within the water and/or utilities sectors and hold a CSCS card, SMSTS and First Aid qualification. Finally, you will have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
