Job description
Our client in the Oil and Gas industry seeks a Logistics Coordinator for an initial 8 month period with the possibility of this being extended.
Ideals candidates will demonstrate a thorough understanding of regulations governing the transportation of hazardous materials by air and sea, couples with proficiency in Customs and Excise regulations. This opportunity is particularly fitting for individuals with robust experience in supply chain and logistics within the Oil and Gas sector.
In the capacity of Logistics Coordinator, you will oversee the precise and efficient shipping of company equipment. Key responsibilities include:
- Recording and meticulously maintaining information for all import and export shipments
- Ensuring accurate and timely completion of Customs guarantee applications
- Adhering to HM Customs and Excise requirements, especially concerning the movement of FCG and RGR goods
- Verifying that equipment movement align with the load-out list/manifest
- Handling dangerous goods and overseeing offshore shipments
- Generating delivery tickets/proforma invoices, including customs status, value and tariff code for each equipment item destined for jobs
- Preparing commercial invoices and packing lists for freight destined outside the UK
- Soliciting quotes and organising transportation through Freight Forwarders
- Providing clearance instructions for imports into the UK
- Verifying internal freight invoices and rental invoices
- Coordinating inspection and certification check for hired equipment
- Overseeing overall responsibilities for the stores
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is a perquisite, and familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Navision is advantageous. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team are imperative.
