Payroll Assistant / Finance Assistant
£22,000 - £25,000

SF Recruitment are working with a market leading client of ours based in Leicester who are seeking an experienced Payroll Assistant to join their business and report directly into the Payroll Manager. Our client is a market leading business & take pride in their staff and working environment.

Responsibilities of the Payroll Assistant:
- Matching, checking and coding invoices.
- Setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details.
- Reconciliation of supplier statements.
- Resolve older queries on Supplier accounts.
- Timely identification and resolution of queries involving liaison by phone or written communication with internal staff and external suppliers.
- Provide support as needed for the accounts team.
- To assist the payroll manager during "payroll time" and learn how to run all end to end payrolls.
- Responding to payroll queries from colleagues
- Running payroll reports, plus ad-hoc reports when necessary.
- Updating the HR system with pay changes
- Pension admin for our Nest Pension Schemes.
- Reconciling our accounts with our payroll figures.
- To work with and support the HR team when necessary.
The ideal Finance Assistant:
- 2 or more years' experience within a payroll team
- Have dealt with the high volumes of invoices and will be comfortable assisting with high value payment runs.
- Be able to prioritise their workload and work to strict deadlines.
- Be confident with the full purchase ledger process.
