Job description
Join an award winning refurbishment and new build specialist working on projects ranging in value from £300 K - £5 million. This family run business has a wide client base, operating from its office in Bath and covering 30 mile radius, directly employing over 90 staff. They are recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to work from the Bath office.
THE JOB:
- Overall responsibility for the commercial management of individual projects.
- Preparing valuations and liaising with client-side quantity surveyor
- Costing variations.
- Placing subcontractor orders and commercial control of subcontractor packages.
- Prepare monthly cost/value reports on live projects for the monthly cost meetings.
- Preparing project final accounts and agreeing with client-side quantity surveyor.
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar quantity surveyor role.
- Commercial awareness
- Good knowledge of JCT contracts
- Good IT skills, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word
- Clear focus on cost control and productivity
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Flexible in working hours and local travel
SALARY & BENEFITS:
- £32,000 - £42,000, depending on experience
- 21 days holiday + public holidays
- Annual bonus – subject to profitability
