The Philharmonic is looking for an experienced, confident, sales driven individual to join our growing team! Applicants must be experienced in all roles of hospitality from bartender to Assistant Manager.
The Philharmonic strives to be the best venue in the city centre. From showing all Live Sport on our big screens, to renowned bottomless brunch’s, with Live music as well as our quality DJ’s late into the night, The Philharmonic is an iconic venue in the heart of Cardiff city centre. What's the Role?
As an Assistant Manager at The Philharmonic, you will play a vital role in supporting the General Manager in the daily operations of our bar. This position is aimed at individuals who share our passion for delivering outstanding customer service and enhancing our guests' experiences.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate closely with the General Manager to develop and maintain high standards of service and beverage quality.
• Assist in managing bar staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure efficient bar operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness.
• Create and maintain a positive and inclusive work environment for our bar team.
• Oversee and participate in the preparation of cocktails and beverages, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism and a customer-centric approach.
• Contribute to the development of new cocktail recipes and beverage offerings.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience as an assistant manager or in a similar role.
• Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
• Strong knowledge of mixology, bar operations, and beverage service.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of beverage cost control and inventory management.
• A passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
Weekend and evening availability is a must—when the magic happens!
