Job description
The Drum is seeking a Junior Finance Assistant to join us in providing accurate, relevant, and up-to-date financial information essential for the company's success. The role will be a 6-month FTC to cover a staff member currently on MAT leave. The role will focus on 4 main areas:
- Internal Finance Systems and Processes: Ensure adherence to and support improvement of internal finance systems and processes.
- Financial Transactions Processing: Participate in day-to-day processing of financial transactions.
- Financial Operations: Adhere to and suggest improvements for financial operations.
- Monthly Management Accounts: Assist the team in preparing monthly management accounts.
Responsibilities Include:
- Bank Reconciliation: Update and reconcile daily transactions for each bank.
- Customer and GoCardless Receipts: Allocate receipts to associated invoices.
- Intercompany Accounts: Maintain balance by processing necessary journals.
- Spendesk (virtual payment system): Match invoices to Purchase Order, code, and import purchase invoices to Sage.
- Supplier Set Up: Process new or updated supplier details.
- Support Staff: Assist with supplier or purchase queries.
- The Drum's Membership Products : Process adjustments and set up payments as required.
- Payment Plans Management: Ensure smooth operation of GoCardless and Stripe payment plans.
- Bar Tabs: Process bar tabs as needed.
- Finance Email Management: Handle and respond to emails promptly.
- Credit Cards: Manage RBS credit cards, ensuring correct coding and Sage uploads.

Requirements
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
