Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

Rate of pay: £350.40 – £400 P/W

Location: Sutton Coldfield

**About the role**

Connex Education are working with a SEN school in Sutton Coldfield who are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant.

This position requires you to support the teaching and learning of pupils. You will work closely alongside the main class teacher with planning, assessments, and the children’s progress, and you will be required to support small groups or work 1:1 with children with Autism and ASD. On most occasions you will be allocated a specific student or group and work with them throughout the whole of your placement, so you will have the opportunity to build a strong rapport with the pupils.

**Role Requirements**

• Previously experience working with children with SEN needs is essential.
• Relevant qualifications in education, child development or related field is advantageous.
• Empathy and patience when working with children with diverse needs
• A commitment to promoting equality and diversity in the classroom
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education.
