Job Title: Experienced Facilities Manager

Location: Yeovil, UK
Salary: £45,000 per annum

My client is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Facilities Manager to join their team in Yeovil. As the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of facilities management to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our premises. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team and make a difference in a thriving organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Facilities Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all facilities, including buildings, equipment, and grounds, to ensure they are safe, functional, and well-presented at all times.

  2. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards, conducting regular inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

  3. Supplier Management: Manage relationships with external suppliers and service providers, negotiating contracts and agreements to ensure cost-effective and high-quality services.

  4. Budget Management: Develop and manage the facilities budget, monitoring expenditure and identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising on quality or service delivery.

  5. Space Planning: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to plan and optimise the use of space within the facilities, ensuring efficient allocation and utilisation of resources.

  6. Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures, conducting regular drills and training exercises to ensure staff are prepared to respond effectively in the event of an emergency.

  7. Environmental Sustainability: Promote and implement environmentally sustainable practices within the facilities, identifying opportunities to reduce energy consumption, waste generation, and carbon footprint.

  8. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the facilities team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

  9. Compliance Reporting: Prepare and submit reports on facilities management activities, including maintenance schedules, performance metrics, and compliance status, to senior management as required.
