Contracts Manager
Company Overview: We are The Recruitment Co, collaborating with a leading Industrial & Commercial Chimney Company, to seek a dynamic Contracts Manager to join their team. Our client is dedicated to delivering exceptional service and maintaining strong relationships with their clients.
Role & Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Operations Director, the Contracts Manager will oversee the Contract Management function within the business. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing commercial contracts and operational cost control functions.
- Supporting the review, development, and implementation of contract management processes.
- Leading Compensation Event and Early Warning processes with the Commercial Director.
- Building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Undertaking line management duties for a team of direct employees, sub-contractors, and supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote positive contract management behaviours to optimise gross margin potential and minimise contract risk.
- Manage project change control, contract management, and risk mitigation.
- Review, develop, and implement contract management control measures.
- Support internal audits and manage all contract management non-conformities.
- Represent the company in pre-contract negotiations to mitigate risks.
- Ensure a culture of Health and Safety is maintained within the team.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
- Level 5/6 qualification (or equivalent) in Legal/Quantity Surveying/Project Finance.
- UK Driving licence.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior Contract Management position.
- Strong legal contract knowledge and application.
- Experience managing commercial contracts with a minimum £10M commercial responsibility.
- Proficiency in contract negotiation and implementation of contract management processes.
