We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and caring Childrens Home Registered Manager to undertake a vital role at a Childrens home based in Speke, Merseyside.
Registered Manager:
This is an excellent opportunity to become a home manager of a new residential home.My client is excited to bring someone on board with a passion for making a difference to disadvantaged children and is looking for someone who can nurture and form strong relationships with children/ young people by drawing on your own life skills and experience.

We are looking for someone who will lead a strong, committed, and devoted team to serve and look after the most vulnerable in society and make a difference to their upbringing.
The Registered Manager is accountable for delivering high quality care to the
children and young people resident within the home. This means that they are
responsible for the provision of all care services, as well as the strategic planning for
developments within the home and all day to day management matters. They will
demonstrate the ability to build on the well established principle and practice
standards existing within the home, as well as proactively contributing to the continuous improvement of childcare standards across the company.
The Registered Manager is responsible for delivering childcare that is focused on
obtaining the best outcomes for each child and young person within the home.
Consequently, they are expected to demonstrate practical leadership in childcare, as
well as organizing and supporting staff to provide the best possible care for each child and young person. This involves being personally available, as well as the supervision and mentoring of staff, organisation of work patterns, facilitation of care focused training, and accessing of appropriate services to support the childcare practices within the home.
As this is a vital role in the lives of children and young people cared for by my client, it requires an active and long term commitment. Staff from Head Office work closely with each Registered Manager, assisting them to provide high quality care.
Role requirements:
Required education
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management of Residential Childcare / NVQ 4 in Childcare. Or a Social Work qualification (DipSW/Degree or equivalent).
Experience working with children or young adults with autism, multiple learning disabilities and children who may display challenging behaviour
Minimum 2-3 years or more of experience working as a manager leader in residential care
Good written and spoken English
Ability to interact with a range of children and young people
Ability to lead a team
Ability to provide consistency of care and support to the children and young people
Ability to work towards an Ofsted Outstanding rating.
Responsibilities:
Team Leading
Shift Leading
Supporting the director to run a successful staff team and all day-to-day operations of the home
Ensuring the highest standards of care in relation to the children's physical, behavioural and emotional needs.
Supporting children and young people to do their favourite things and try new activities at home and also outdoor activities. These include swimming and going on annual vacation.
Providing high quality care to children and young people (including personal care)
