Ward Administrator

Chichester Hospital | Administration | 1 Year Fixed Term Contract | Part time
Up to £21,762 pro rata, depending on experience

16 hours per week - weekend working (Saturday 0700-1600hrs & Sunday 1000 - 1800hrs)

As a Ward Administrator at our Chichester Hospital, you're able to manage, appraise and interpret the data. What's more, you know how to present this in a timely and professional manner. Ideally, you have an NVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration or equivalent, but this isn't essential.

As an Administration Assistant on our Ward, you will:

• To provide efficient and effective administrative support to the standards and timescales required.
• To coordinate, plan and organise a range of activities.
• To complete electronic and/or manual data entry / record keeping in an accurate and timely manner, to agreed format and standards.
• To file, store, retrieve and collate information / items accurately and efficiently.
• To handle queries within the remit of own role and escalate more complex / serious issues to senior staff where required.
• To admit patients to the department and make straightforward appointment bookings and amendments.

Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital

Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital is a 30 bedded hospital within walking distance of the city centre with free onsite car parking. The hospital has two laminar flow operating theatres, a JAG accredited endoscopy unit and two minor treatment rooms in the outpatient department. There is a small radiology department and CT/ MRI services are provided in a mobile unit. Inpatient physiotherapy is provided within the hospital whilst our outpatients attend the fitness and wellbeing centre at Chichester gate for their follow up physio and hydrotherapy treatments. Our main speciality is orthopaedics. We also care for patients needing treatment within the specialties of gynaecology, urology, general surgery, plastic surgery, ophthalmology max fax, and pain. We provide outpatient services for dermatology, cardiology, neurology, and rheumatology.
