WWT’s Martin Mere Wetland Centre is a world famous nature reserve and wetland animal collection, which attracts over 200,000 visits every year.
As a result of an exciting and ambitious development plan, we are currently looking for a proactive and innovative individual, with experience of buildings and grounds maintenance and development to become our Facilities Assistant Manager. The position requires a hands-on approach, positive attitude and preferably some trade skills such as carpentry/plumbing/electrical work. You will work in a customer focused environment in a small team led by the Facilities Manager, which is responsible for the maintenance and strategic development of our visitor centre and all other buildings and infrastructure. You will deputise for the Facilities Manager/Health & Safety Officer in their absence and have a proactive approach to ensure that the site develops and runs smoothly and safely. The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) is a conservation charity that protects wetlands for wildlife and people. We conserve, restore and create wetlands. We are pioneers in saving wetland wildlife, both in the UK and around the world. At our 10 UK sites around a million visitors a year engage with wetland nature.
