Job Description
- Assisting in the creation of a team that is customer-focused, productive, efficient, and solution-focused.
- Ensuring that the transactional finance team satisfies the demands of the company while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Supervision of the complete set of transactions from the Group's purchase and sales ledgers, as well as the related balance sheet accounts.
- Ensuring efficient payment and credit control procedures, optimising the group's liquidity, and maintaining its financial stability.
- Developing, sustaining & promoting effective internal partnerships with managers.
- Make sure the team's financial systems and procedures are robust and accurate, and that the necessary internal checks are in place to guarantee these things.
- Assist non-financial staff in comprehending the statements by making sure that the monthly management information is accurate, timely, and suitable for the users of the data.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will be:
- Ideally a holder of a professional qualification, CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent.
- Resilient, capable of working in a big organisation, and at ease with the additional restrictions imposed by public sector accounting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at leadership level.
- Proven abilities in managing people. the capacity to inspire, motivate, and enthuse others to achieve goals by setting and enforcing difficult and demanding standards.
- Experienced with financial processing in a complex business environment.
