The role

Our client is currently seeking a Manager to lead their expanding Private Corporate Tax team in Sydney. This team specializes in collaborating with innovative entrepreneurs, private equity backed companies and founder led businesses.

The Private Tax practice of our client is dedicated to contributing to a more efficient business and tax landscape in today's fast-evolving environment. Their staff combines flexibility, a wide range of perspectives, in-depth tax expertise, and the utilization of technology and analytics to deliver outstanding value to clients. They do so by promptly and efficiently developing and executing strategies quickly and effectively, with strong accountability and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Offer guidance to clients regarding the interpretation and application of Australian tax regulations.
• Deliver strategic advice on tax planning and structuring for both inbound and outbound corporate entities.
• Provide post-transaction tax services and on-demand tax counsel to newly acquired companies.
• Advise clients on the formulation and implementation of corporate tax governance policies and procedures.
• Examine and assess corporate income tax filings.
• Serve as the primary contact person for your clientele.
• Take charge of overseeing the provision of tax-related services to your clients.
• Collaborate with our Partners to carry out initiatives aimed at expanding our market presence.

Skills and attributes

• Proficiency in Corporate Tax Advisory and Corporate Tax Compliance, preferably acquired in a leading accounting firm or a consulting role within the corporate sector.
• A solid grasp of tax technicalities related to trusts and privately held companies.
• Demonstrated experience in supervising and nurturing the professional growth of junior team members.
• Capable of establishing robust and enduring business connections.
• Outstanding written and oral communication abilities.
• A keen sense of business acumen.
• Exceptional numerical and analytical capabilities.
