Job description

We, TLT are searching for a Contract Paralegals with experience in document review or handling a litigious caseload. The role will be on an initial 3–6-month contract but with likelihood of extension or being redeployed onto other projects within the firm. This is offering support on a high-profile review exercise within our Financial Services and Disputes team, you will be supervised by our Managed Legal Services team. We are offering remote working on this contract however living in close proximity to one of our offices would be preferable.

Please note this role is on a day rate contracted via an Umbrella company.

Your Role

• Developing an understanding of complex issues in order to review and categorise a wide range of evidence in support of an investigation.
• Using e-disclosure platforms and specific systems (full training provided) to implement both relevance and redaction policies and decisions, to provide disclosure to relevant stakeholders
• Taking detailed instructions from fee earners within the team and providing regular updates on progress.
• Attending meetings and contributing to discussions to enhance and maintain the quality, consistency, and value of the team’s work.
• Meeting targets and time recording.
• Managing financial outputs and billing responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Ideally 6 months experience working as a paralegal.
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
• Accuracy, good organisational skills and flexibility
• Good knowledge of Word and Outlook is required and experience in Excel, PowerPoint, interwoven would be beneficial
• Desirable, but not essential, are proficient Excel skills (with basic and vlookup formulas, pivot tables, pivot charts & managing large spreadsheets) and the ability to export data to other spreadsheets and charts efficiently, whilst also being able to put together easy-to-read analysis
• To have basic knowledge of and be able to use common functions of relevant computer applications with appropriate training
