Adelphi Real World – Real World Evidence Manager
Who We Are
Adelphi Real World is a global consultancy in healthcare. We collect and interrogate real world data to aid the pharmaceutical industry in understanding the management and treatment of specific diseases. This understanding informs the successful development of pipeline assets and the positioning of inline products. Real world data can also be used to leverage Health Outcomes / Economic argumentation through statistically validated publications.
The Role
To join a rapidly growing team in managing and conducting observational/non-interventional studies utilising secondary data sources worldwide to meet clients’ needs. You will work collaboratively with an enthusiastic and cohesive team, supporting various research projects from conception and study design through to reporting and publication. In addition, managing Architect projects to identify and assess existing sources of real-world data worldwide.
Accountabilities:
Designing of studies:
- Drafting search protocols for source-identification, and drafting assessment criteria for such sources
- Identifying and assessing existing data sources for data analysis purposes
- Quality control of searches and source assessments conducted by others
- Drafting of RWE study protocols for review by pharmaceutical company committees and ethical approval submission
- Drafting RWE study reports
Implementation and management of the research process:
- Key client contact throughout the lifespan of a study
- Project management through all stages in conjunction with other multi-disciplinary team members - external agencies/ partners, data holders, key opinion leaders etc
- Managing external resources closely, coordinating workload and time-management of junior staff
- Providing feedback and quality control for the documents and deliverables drafted by junior staff
Analysis and reporting of results:
- Supporting completion of the final research report and the presentation of the study results
- Authorship of publications, including development and/or critical review of abstracts/posters for presentation at scientific congresses or manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals
New Business Development / Proposal writing
- Responsible for writing sections of a proposal
- Developing on-going relationships with client companies
The person:
- Previous experience of conducting secondary data studies (using data sources such as the Clinical Practice Research Datalink [CPRD] in the UK, or experience of conducting assessments of secondary data sources)
- A high level of interpersonal skills and a willingness to work collaboratively on projects as part of a wider team
- Experience of managing a large project team
- Experience of managing a secondary data source study or project team [desired]
- Highly motivated with a proactive approach to work
- A passion for innovation, and implementing new ideas
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good organisational and time management skills
- A high level of numeracy, analytical, and interpretive skills
- Close attention to detail
- Proficient in basic Microsoft packages e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Line management experience [desired]
