Job description
We are currently recruiting for our fun and vibrant nursery in Catford (SE6).
The nursery provides outstanding facilities for children aged from 3 months through to pre-school age and is registered with OFSTED with a rating of 'GOOD'
We have dedicated rooms for our various age ranges and each room reflects the seven areas of learning, as prescribed in the Early Years Foundation Stage. All of our facilities are designed to be accessible to every child. We are also located just a 5-7 minute walk from Catford and Catford Bridge station.
As a Nursery Practitioner your tasks and duties will include:
- Protect and promote the health and well-being of children
- Ensure that safeguarding procedures are followed
- Promote positive relationships in the early years setting
- Support children's learning and development through play
- Be a 'key person' to a small group of children and build positive relationships with their families
- Monitor children's progress to ensure they reach their developmental targets
- Plan and create activities which keep children engaged throughout the day
- Enable children to become more independent
- Help prepare children for the transition into school life
Candidate Requirments:
- Level 3 in childcare
- 1+ years experience within a nursery setting
- Sound knowledge of the EYFS
- Good communication skills
- Passionate about childcare
£11.50-12.50
