Our Public Sector Client currently seeks a Full- Time Temporary ongoing Band 3 Higher Clerical Officer for their red flag booking team

This is an ongoing temporary position

Monday – Friday 9-5

Rate of pay £11.11 per hour

Duties include:

1.Operate all relevant IT systems e.g. Patient Administration System (PAS), NIECR, Clinical Communication Gateway (CCG), Cancer Patient Pathway System (CaPPS)

1. Operate the NIECR e-Triage function to book appointments (This includes monitoring the action table, holding table, triaged section)
2. Add patients to outpatient waiting lists
3. Booking 1 st outpatient appointment in accordance to Cancer Access Target guidelines, ensuring that they are selected from the waiting list in chronological order.
4. To co-ordinate, process and distribute a range of correspondence in accordance with agreed procedures within area of responsibility.
5. Prioritise and manage own workload on a daily basis, escalating areas of concern to the Line Manager as appropriate. Exercise judgement and use own initiative to provide non-clinical advice, information and guidance directly to patients and relatives.

Essential Criteria:

4 GCSEs at Grades A-C including English Language and/or equivalent / higher qualification AND 1 years’ experience in a clerical / administrative role

OR

2 years’ experience in a clerical / administrative role

Experience in the use of Microsoft office products including Word, or equivalent.
