We have an exciting opportunity for a Prison In-reach Recovery Coordinator who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs. You will work with people leaving the custody setting who are homeless or living in emergency or probation funded accommodation. You will also be conducting clinical interventions and providing comprehensive support plans and court reports as required.
No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

Hours: 37.5 12 Month's FTC
Salary : £27,449.53 - £31,529.41 Pro Rata (CGL Scale 23 – 28) dependent on experience
About the role:
- Support people who are leaving Prison and sleeping rough or are housed in emergency housing within Luton.
- Complete Assessments with clients both prior and after release from Prison.
- Attending prison pre release meetings with various Prisons.
- Clinical interventions.
- Working with people who have criminal justice obligations i.e licence conditions.
- Liaise with external agencies such as housing , Probation, Police, Adult Social Care and local supporting charities
- Work within the pathways of the Criminal Justice Team.
- Attend multiagency meeting such as MAPPA, Safeguarding, housing provider and prison inclusion meetings.
- Attend prison clinics and resettlement meetings to support release plans.
About you:
- Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and knowledge of the criminal justice system.
- Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics, such as conflict or challenging behaviour.
- Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills.
- Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills.
- Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users.
- Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards.
- Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others.
