ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Principal Building Surveyor, you will lead and manage our Building Surveying team, ensuring the highest standards of compliance with building regulations, safety, and sustainability.
Your technical expertise and leadership skills will guide the team in providing an expert service and advice to residents, businesses, and stakeholders. This role offers a chance to make a significant impact on the safety and quality of the diverse property portfolio within our borough, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for our community.
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will
• be a qualified Chartered Building Surveyor.
• have extensive experience as a Senior/Principal Building Surveyor, showcasing strong leadership capabilities.
• have a proven track record in project management and procurement of construction projects from inception to completion.
• be able to undertake and report on condition and dilapidation surveys.
• have detailed knowledge in building and construction technology and diagnosing defects and their effective solutions and provide expert advice on construction and maintenance matters.
• be able to prepare drawings, specifications, and formal contracts conditions as required for tendering and construction purposes.
• in-depth knowledge of building regulations, codes, and compliance requirements.
