Job description
A long established and highly successful Regional Building Contractor are looking to appoint a Project Manager to deliver projects throughout the North West of circa 20m.
The company deliver a wide range of new build and refurbishment projects for public and private sector clients from 5m to 50m.
The Project Manager will hold full responsibility for the management and delivery of a project, from inception through to project handover.
Project Manager role will include:
- Help develop the projects main works programmes and ensure that no work commences on site until the health and safety policy and the relevant construction phase plan is in place.
- Provide leadership and support to the site team and help to develop people within your Team
- Comply with the requirements of the company's Quality Procedure and Manual
- Manage all sub–contractors and supply chain effectively
- Ensure best practices and quality are being maintained
- Be proactive in the identification and resolution of problems
- Ensuring the project runs to program and budget
- Work closely and liaise as required with the design team
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the client and their representatives
- Monitor the progress of the project and manage issues as they arise
Knowledge skills & experience
- Demonstrable experience of successfully delivering projects over 10m at Project Manager level for Main Contractors
- BSc in a relevant discipline
- Experience of Project Planning
- Strong leadership skills and excellent communication skills
- Strong Commercial awareness
- Excellent working knowledge of construction techniques, methodologies and processes
