Job description

Smile Education Northwest are delighted to be working alongside a dynamic secondary school in the recruitment of a geography teacher.

We are currently seeking a geography teacher to join this busy school based in north Manchester. This role is ideal for ECT’s and experienced teachers who may be looking for a change ahead of the new term. The successful applicant will be supporting pupils from Year 7 through Year 11, including delivering GCSE content to pupils approaching exams in the summer term. The successful applicant will be joining the team from April 2024, with an expected salary range of £140-180 per day, depending on experience.

This school is located in north Manchester area, within proximity to Failsworth, Little Moss, and Hollins.

What to expect from applicants?

We would like applicants to hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Applicants should be familiar with the Geography national curriculum requirements up to a GCSE level.

To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- Familiarity with the UK national curriculum in geography at a secondary school level

- Strong differentiation skills to ensure pupils are able to access lesson content
