Role: Commercial Sales Estimator
Salary: 50,000 - 60,000 per annum (DOE)

Location: West Kent (Commutable from Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, Crawley, Tunbridge Wells, Crowborough, Maidstone and surrounding areas)

Are you an experienced Commercial Sales Estimator with experience working within the Fire Industry?

KHR has partnered with an industry leader who is currently going through rapid growth and expansion. Due to this, the award-winning business is currently recruiting for a Commercial Sales Estimator.

The client, a market leader within a niche industry, is currently undertaking a huge expansion within the commercial sector which will present multiple opportunities for further progression and development opportunities. The successful candidate will receive state-of-the-art training across a variety of operations and procedures and will have the opportunity to head up projects across multiple commercial businesses.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to understand the scope of work and requirements for fire sprinkler system installations.
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and measurements to determine the materials, labor, and equipment necessary for the project.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to clarify project requirements, resolve technical issues, and ensure accurate estimations.
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates and proposals based on the project scope, including materials, labor, equipment, subcontractor costs, and other relevant expenses.
- Research and select appropriate fire sprinkler system components, considering factors such as code compliance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services required for the project.
- Collaborate with the project management team during the transition from estimating to project execution, ensuring a smooth handover and accurate transfer of information.
- Stay updated with the latest industry standards, codes, and regulations related to fire sprinkler systems to ensure compliance in estimations and designs.

The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in fire sprinkler system estimating or a similar role within the fire protection industry.
- In-depth knowledge of fire protection systems, including sprinkler types, pipe sizing, hydraulic calculations, and relevant codes and standards (12845, NFPA, IFC, etc.).
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to interpret project documents and perform detailed quantity take-offs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with project teams, clients, and subcontractors.
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes related to fire sprinkler systems.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) or Certified Sprinkler ITM Specialist (CSITMS) are a plus.
