This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has initiative and is not afraid of hard work. You will be a warm and friendly face for the many patients who visit the pharmacy on a daily basis, advising them on over the counter medication and dispensing of patient medicines.

Reporting directly to the Pharmacist Manager, your support is vital to the pharmacist in the provision of many different services. You will be part of a hard-working and established team working in the dispensary, and will be involved in developing relationships with patients and surgeries in order to ensure that we deliver the most effective customer service. Responsibilities & Duties:

· To support and assist all members of the pharmacy team.

· To dispense prescriptions accurately and professionally within legal and company guidelines.

· To assist in the destruction of returned controlled drugs with the pharmacist.

· Accurately check prescriptions and MDS packs after clinical screening by the Pharmacist.

· To comply with the GPHC code of conduct and ethics.

· Ensure the correct storage of the medication, ensure good stock rotation and monitor and check expiry dates.

· Sort and file prescriptions and other relevant paperwork as per the Company’s Standard Operating Procedure.

· Responsible for cashing up and banking.

· Maintain a clean & tidy environment.

· Liaise with GP surgeries and their teams to enable the pharmacy to deliver the highest possible customer service.

Qualifications & Skill’s:

*You will hold an NVQ2 or equivalent in Pharmacy Services or dispensing.

*You must have your Accuracy Checking Qualification.

*Be registered to the GPHC.

*You must have basic IT knowledge and good customer service skills.

*Also to be able to perform well under pressure, and work as part of a team.

 

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 6:30pm
