Our client is a large organisation within the Public Sector looking for a Qualified Interim Financial Accountant for an initial 10-12 months. It is headquartered in Sheffield and employs thousands of people across various departments, with a strong focus on accounting and finance.
Job Description
The Key Responsibilities of the Interim Financial Accountant:
- Provide expert financial advice to department managers
- Line management of a small team
- Prepare and maintain financial records
- Dealing with auditors and year end accounts
- Conduct financial audits and implement corrective actions
- Develop and monitor the budget
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations
- Prepare financial reports for management
The Successful Applicant
The successful Interim Financial Accountant will:
- Have relevant degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards
