About the role

As a Cloud Engineer at Propel Tech, you will play a pivotal role in shaping cloud infrastructure solutions for our clients. You'll collaborate closely with our dynamic teams, including developers and project managers, to craft systems that perfectly align with client needs. With meticulous attention to detail, you'll adhere to best practices, ensuring quality, compliance, and seamless operation.

As a key member of the team, you'll provide valuable technical feedback, engage in proactive system maintenance, and continuously refine CI/CD processes to streamline software delivery pipelines. Your expertise will shine as you monitor system uptime, address disruptions promptly, and optimise server resources to enhance performance.

In addition to supporting client releases and participating in on-call rotations, you'll champion continuous professional development, staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies. You’ll help to foster client relationships, attending meetings, and contributing to the enhancement of our development processes.

To excel in this role, you should have;

• Demonstratable Cloud Engineer/DevOps Engineer experience including designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting systems.
• Excellent understanding of infrastructure as code technologies such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Pulimi.
• Solid understanding and experience of software development methodologies, frameworks, version control systems (e.g., Git), and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Ability to work well under pressure and carry out development across multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate technical challenges and provide effective solutions.
• Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience of being client facing in a consultancy environment would be advantageous.
• Proficiency in one or more major programming languages (C#, Javascript, PHP) and development technologies is advantageous.
